Recently, we found ourselves in New Canaan, CT and I knew that there was a few architecture items that I’ve been waiting to see. One of them being the amazing Grace Farms by Pritzker Prize winning Japanese firm Sanaa Architects.
When I describe this place, I’m at a loss of words. It’s a sacred space but doesn’t conform to any typical religious ceremony. The programming for the space includes an auditorium, library, cafe, tea room, and gymnasium area–all connected by the snake-like roof structure that weaves throughout the site.
